1. Agreement and Eligibility

These Terms govern your use of AceAssist. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or have parent/guardian permission where legally required.

2. Service Description

AceAssist provides personal organisation and finance-support tools, including tasks, budgets, expenses, income, subscriptions, shopping and pantry tracking, contacts, calendar events, reminders, notifications, media tracking, document vault features, journal entries, recordings, and search.

AceAssist is not a bank, licensed financial adviser, tax agent, legal service, health provider, or emergency service.

3. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice

Content in AceAssist is for general information only and does not constitute personal financial product advice, taxation advice, or legal advice. You are responsible for your decisions and should seek professional advice where needed.

4. Account Security and Access

You are responsible for account activity, safeguarding credentials, and keeping your details up to date. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

You are responsible for configuring your own account security controls (for example password strength and two-factor authentication where available).

5. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, upload unlawful or harmful content, or use AceAssist in a way that breaches applicable law.

You must not use AceAssist to store, process, or distribute content you do not have rights to use.

6. Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant AceAssist a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the service and meet legal obligations.

7. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Parts of AceAssist rely on third-party services, including authentication, hosting/storage, OCR processing, and price lookup services. Availability or performance of those services is outside our direct control.

8. Availability and Changes

We may update or change features from time to time, including to improve security, comply with law, or maintain reliability. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, or legal reasons.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (including Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be excluded by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, where liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to resupply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AceAssist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss, including loss of profits, business opportunity, data, or goodwill.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data and records.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the service, users, or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the laws of the State or Territory where AceAssist is based. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State or Territory and Australia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
